Audio Recorder

With the audio recorder web application you can easily record audio from your computer microphone. This web application is particularly useful when there is no native audio recording app on your machine, or you prefer an HTML5 app for recording audio.

Please wait for the app to loads completely, then start using it by pressing on the - Play - button. The first time you run the app, it will ask for the microphone permission to be able to record audio. Please accept the permissions and start the app. Once the microphone is ON, please press on the record button to start recording a audio. Once you are done, press on the stop-recording button (right next to the blue recording button) to stop the recording. You can repeat the recording task as many times as you want. When you are done recording audio, please press on the - Stop - button to turn the microphone OFF.

When audio recording is done, you can download recorded tracks by pressing on the download button within each item. Each item has a duration, and download size on the right side. Please note that because this app uses computer memory (RAM) to store the audio files before downloading, it will increase the used RAM size when audio items are listed in the app interface. Please keep audio durations as short as possible as it might slow your browser because of the required memory. When you reload the app, the memory will be freed again.

This web app does NOT send or store your audio file(s) to any remote server; everything happens locally on your machine (browser). Therefore, it is safe to use in terms of privacy and security.

This app is also available as a progressive web application. Please load the app in a browser that supports PWA, then follow the instructions to add the PWA to your mobile device. The first time you load the app, it fetches the data from the internet so it might be a little slow in loading. But, the next time you open the app it loads much faster as, all the data are cached in the memory. Audio Recorder app is also available as a browser extension.
