Weather Forecast

With the Weather Forecast application, you can easily get the current weather for any desired city (the default city is London, GB). Moreover, it shows the daily, and hourly forecasts and has few options to adjust such as the temperature unit.

Please wait for the app to loads completely. After loading, it shows the current weather for the default city (London, GB). To change the city, please type a keyboard in the top search area and then click on the - GO - button. You can also update the current city via the settings tab, but please note that this action requires geolocation permission in your browser. Once the weather is shown for the current city, you can see the hourly forecast by clicking on a day forecast within the UI (bottom section). To add the current city to the favorite menu, please click on the - Add to favorites - button from the top toolbar. To make the current city the default city, please click on the - Set as default - button. To view and change settings, please click on the settings tab. There are few options such as the temperature unit, to adjust in the settings tab. Please remember all the settings are auto-saved to the memory.

This app uses the free weather API from the "openweathermap.org" website which requires an API key to work (read "https://openweathermap.org/api" for more info). Therefore, before using the app, please navigate to the settings tab in the app and change the API key. The default API key is for illustrative purposes only and may not work all the time (has a rate-limit usage). Please head to the signup page in the OpenWeatherMap website (https://home.openweathermap.org/users/sign_up), and then signup to get a free API key for this app. Once a new API key is added, you can start using the app. To read the privacy policy regarding the OpenWeatherMap API, please read this page (https://openweather.co.uk/privacy-policy) on the openweathermap.org website.

This app is also available as a progressive web application. Please load the app in a browser that supports PWA, then follow the instructions to add the PWA to your mobile device. The first time you load the app, it fetches the data from the internet so it might be a little slow in loading. But, the next time you open the app it loads much faster as, all the data are cached in the memory. Weather Forecast app is also available as a browser extension.
